Details
A wide 180 mm board
Rustic plank is the calmest of our patterns: wide 180 mm boards up to 2200 mm long are laid in rows, so there are fewer joints per square metre and the oak grain stays legible end to end. For smaller rooms we cut the boards shorter so the pattern does not feel heavy.
Which spaces it suits
It shows best in living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces where there is enough floor for a wide board to unfold. In light oil shades it feels airy and Scandinavian; in warm and darker tones, rustic and cosy. It sits equally well under modern and under classic furniture.
How it is made to measure
Before production we agree the thickness (12 or 13 mm), the board length and the grading. Natural gives a calmer look, rustic more pronounced knots and texture, while a brushed surface further emphasises the wood's structure. The protection is oiled (Rubio Monocoat) or lacquered, in one of 25 shades.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about this floor
How wide is a rustic plank board?
The standard width is 150 or 180 mm, with lengths from 700 to 2200 mm. Thickness is 12 mm or 13 mm, made of birch and Slavonian oak.
Does rustic plank suit a modern interior?
It does. The tone shapes the impression more than the pattern does: in light shades (Pure, Cotton White, Natural) a wide board reads as minimalist, while warm and dark tones (Havanna, Castle Brown, Chocolate) read as rustic.
Can rustic plank be matched with stair treads?
Yes. We make stair treads from solid Slavonian oak and finish them in the same shade as the floor, so stairs and floor stay in one tone.
